This post may be untimely since it has been more than two weeks since the Holy Week has ended. However, the featured place in this post is a sanctuary that is perfect all year round. The Carmelite Monastery in Sitio Tuatua, Barangay Matiao, City of Mati, Davao Oriental so far is the most peaceful and beautiful Carmelite structure I ever visited.
The Carmelite Church
Before you get the front side of the church you'll get to see a hanging bridge connecting the church main area to the other side of the monastery landscape: a tableau representing the different mysteries of the rosary.

The area in front of the church is also a sight to behold. The spacious area (used for driveway and parking) is surrounded by large trees and carefully crafted landscape and horticulture. The church in itself is also worthy to be visited, and most importantly, a great place to worship our Lord Jesus Christ.

Why My Davao Oriental?
Opportunities! That's what motivated me from creating this blog. Davao Oriental became a nationwide subject thanks to typhoon Pablo, but residents believe that this province has more to offer. Located at the southeastern part of the Philippines, Davao Oriental is rich in majestic beaches and breathtaking scenery. Residents capitalize in developing beach resorts and tourist attractions. Local TV channels already featured some of them in their news programs. There is no reason why you can't love a charming province like Davao Oriental.
Truly Davao! A basket full of delicious durian sold along Mati National Road.
This blog is dedicated to feature everything about Davao Oriental aiming to promote tourism and other businesses in the province. Although this is personally populated by me (no support from any entities whatsoever) I'd love to accept featured articles from you about promoting my beloved province.
Hope to hear from you soon!
